Sam and Cheese

Not your usual

Staying Cheesy

Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to check out my new blog. I haven’t done this in a while but I’m hoping this will be something fun I can do in my spare time. I got the idea to blog again because it was something I did back when I was younger, during a difficult time, that really helped me and allowed me to express myself in a way that was healthy and helpful. Not that I am going through a difficult time, but I do like to share about my life and what I do especially when it’s something I’m really interested in and proud of.

If you haven’t read my “about” tab yet, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Samantha, or Sam, as most people call me naturally. I have been working with cheese now for about 3 years and loved every moment of it. It has allowed me to join a community of folks I feel I really belong to and created a burning passion for food I never knew I had.

For those who are curious-

The website name and logo comes from an original idea of a witty wordplay including my nickname and love of cheese on a ham and cheese sandwich, though, not your usual. The idea is that you can do anything to a ham and cheese to make it more than it is. It best describes how I live my life each and every day both outside of the shop and in. Like a sandwich, if you make it the same way every time, it gets boring over time, right? At some point, you either have to add something to it to make it interesting again or change it altogether. The same goes for life. Sometimes life gets a little dull or mundane and sometimes you have to either add something to it or change it altogether to make it interesting again. For me, becoming a cheesemonger was the “extra” I needed in my life ham and cheese sandwich.

Thank you for taking the time to read my first post if you made it this far. I’m not sure how often I will be posting here whether it be daily or weekly. Please feel free to interact however you like or leave a comment if you’d like to give feedback.
